Ironically, it took a trip to Chicago to attend a student conference about 12 years ago for the two to meet. Ironic because both were attending the same university in the same program although they were in different years.
After graduating, Stephen returned to his hometown to share a practice with Dr. John Rowe and Dr. Murray Weldon in downtown Owen Sound. It was a practice he shared for more than 10 years.
During that time he spent a lot of time on the road visiting Liane in Ottawa where she had her own practice.
"I moved back because I would never survive in a big city," Stephen said. "I like Owen Sound because it's hard to walk down the street and NOT see someone you know."
He has also been highly involved in the community. He has involved with the Georgian Bay Symphony, the Bruce Trail Association and the Georgian Bay Folk Society. Steve also spends a lot of time on his hobby of web design.
