Terry Watkinson was born in 1940 and raised in Thunder Bay. Following high school, Terry moved to Toronto to study architecture at the University of Toronto. After completing two years, Terry joined the up and coming rock band, Max Webster with lead singer, Kim Mitchell. Over the next eight years, the band toured throughout North America and Europe, playing to sold out concerts in locations such as Maple Leaf Gardens and recorded six gold and platinum albums. When the band ended, Terry returned to University of Toronto and earned the challenging B.Sc. degree in Medical Illustration. Terry went on to teach surgical illustration and perspective for the University's Biomedical Communications program. Using his many life experiences, this multi-talented artist creates a brilliant sense of light, depth and emotion in his spectacular wilderness scenes and cityscapes.
