On the banks of the Lievre River, the Parc du Landing marks the site of the second Buckingham landing stage moved around 1865. This second landing stage allowed, thanks to its numerous quays, the docking of several boats and was the starting point of the boats. Steamers that went up the river Lièvre. It also served as a place of supply and relaxation for miners who worked in mines along the river. At that time there were about a hundred buildings, including several hotels and shops. Today we find the Lievre Nautical Center, which rents various types of boats to enjoy the river. https://www.reseaupatrimoine.ca/sur-les-traces-du-patrimoine/fiches/parc-du-landing/

James MacLaren Co.
Given the boat paint scheme, the large black engine air scoops on the rear deck, and that it was donated by Energie Brookfield in 2008, it is quite likely this boat was one of the boats owned by the James MacLaren Co. From the vessel list, there were 10 winch boats that were owned by the James McLaren Co. in Buckingham...Carmichel, Charlie Stanyar, Frank Rowan, Harry Hamel, Joe Rowan, John T. Kealy, Miller, Proudfoot, Theodore Thibault, and W.D. Sutherland.
- Carmichel is in a playground in Bowman, QC, on Route 309.
- John T. Kealy Hull 937, was last seen in 2006 in Bowman, QC.
- Theodore Thibault Hull 560, is on display in the municipality of Val-des-Bois QC, on Route 309.
- W. D. Sutherland may be on display in the Centre Nautique de la Lievre in Gatineau, QC.
