"We intentionally designed it so that it is a central island," Stephen said. "We can see all areas from the reception area."
An area in the back will be used for a video lounge so patients can learn more about laser surgery.
Liane's exam room is situated next to this. "The set-up allows patients to walk either way from room to room," said Stephen. "It is friendly for both patients and staff."
The new location has a network of eight computer terminals. There will be one in each exam room so that if a patient needs to know when a next appointment is they can easily find out. Big windows in all the rooms allow for an abundance of natural light.
Outside the building there is plenty of room for parking and with the building being one level it is completely wheelchair accessible.
