New York State 1927 68 x 15.5 x 4.5' Steel Russel Bros. Shallow Draft Tugboat
Builder: Russel Brothers in Fort Frances, Ontario in 1927.
(Ad saved 4/20/17) This is a cold riveted steel boat that has never been in salt water. It has a fantail aft deck with a hatchway leading to the engine room. Walk through a steel door through a steel bulkhead to the large belowdecks hold. Fore and aft are water tight bulkheads. The aft compartment is used for ballast via a large water pump.
Topside is the wheelhouse, crew's quarters and cooking area which was built for a one time trip south. At that point, it was to be replaced with aft wheelhouse and quarters. The headroom below decks is 7.5'. This includes the engine room and main compartment.

The Aft watertight compartment is slightly larger than the Fore watertight compartment. Topside quarters and wheelhouse roughly 12' x 20'.
There are eleven 1' diameter bronze portholes and one smaller.
