Ville Class Tug MARYSVILLE Z62 / YTS 585 / YTS 594. Laid Down: 15 Dec 1943.
Delivered to the RCN: 20 Jan 1944.
Sank: 03 May 1944 - Raised next day and later repaired. She was employed as a tug at Prince Rupert BC. She struck a rock and sank on 03/05/1944 but was raised the next day.
Fate: Sold in 1976. Final disposition is unknown.
Built by Russel Brother's Ltd, Owen Sound, Ont., in Jan. 1944 Marysville was delivered by CN rail to Vancouver to serve on the West coast. Marysville sank on 03 May 1944 after she struck a rock near Prince Rupert, BC. She was re-floated the next day and sent to Prince Rupert for refit. After the war, Marysville continued service as a CNA.

The Province, Thurs. May 6, 1976. clipping courtesy Leigh Cossey, Jan. 27, 2020.Two former Royal Canadian navy tugs are being offered for sale by the Crown Assets Disposal Corporation. Largest is the 113-foot steel tug Clifton, now at the Esquimalt Dockyard. She was built at Montreal Drydocks in 1944 and is powered by a 1000 h.p. Sulzer diesel. The other tug is a small 40-foot harbour tug Marysville, built at Owen Sound in 1944, and powered by a 150 h.p. Cummins diesel. She is now at the mooring base facility at Colwood. Offers must be made to the Crown Assets Disposal Corp. by May 27.
