MacDiarmid, Ontario, April 23rd, 2007 RBF notes: The Kwe has been bought by the Natives in MacDairmid and was trucked up to Lake Nipigon. She sports a new 8 foot section welded onto her stern.

The A/OFRC (Anishinabek/Ontario Fisheries Resource Centre) is accepting offers for the sale of the KWE, a steel hull fishing vessel.
The sale of the KWE is on an AS IS, WHERE IS basis - she is currently situated on private property on Orient Bay on Lake Nipigon.
The KWE was constructed as a fishing vessel by Russel Brothers in 1940, rebuilt in 2002, and registered as a commercial vessel in 2007. She was used as a research vessel by the A/OFRC.
