This small tug was built in 1951 by Russel Brothers Limited as the Greta V. for the Bathurst Power & Paper Company of Bathurst, NB. She was later acquired by McKeil Marine of Hamilton, ON. In 2007, the Greta V. was purchased by McNally International of Hamilton, ON. Greta V. is active in the contracting trades on the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence, and East Coast. barge down the St Lawrence river opposite Vercheres, Québec, April 26, 2007,
possibly going to Sorel.

Gerry Ouderkirk notes March 8, 2008: McNally Constuction Co. are currently dredging Bronte Harbour using the Russel-bult tug GRETA V., which they acquired from McKeil last year. The other vessels involved in the project are McNCo. No. 20, McNCo. No. 27, and the mud scow Gunnar 151.
