Shaun Vary notes (Mar. 17, 2018): "Dorothy May was built by Russel Brothers at Owen Sound in 1950. She belonged to the Oldfield fishery at Point Au Baril, ON." Jim Macdonald also noted "Horst Anderson out of Michipicoten Harbour had her, wooden upper structure, sunk south of Dog bank."
